NCBAP History

1996 established multidisciplinary working group, developed domains, test items, etc.
1997-98  began process to develop & validate test items
1998 established the National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers
1999 awarded CACP credential for first time
2005 ncbap.org website launched
2006 NCBAP officially incorporated
2007 NCBAP granted 501(c)(6) non-profit status
NCBAP begins offering online exam for recertification
2010 NCBAP begins offering online exam for both initial certification and recertification.
